- Answer I returned the lipstick so I, actually, never tried it. And, I did not try it because it looked to be more of a cool color than a warm color(more blue than orange) which doesn't look good on me. by terrell c 03/05/12

- Answer It is golden - there are tiny micro pigments throughout that glimmer on your lips once applied. For me, the ocre rose shade was more pink and less neutral than I thought it appeared in the picture. I have extremely pale skin, so I ended up returning it. It should be said however that all of us have variations in our computer monitors so we all see a slightly different image on the site... I hope this helps. by Alyssha H 03/04/12

- Answer Depending on the pigmentation on your lips this lipstick can come off either very pigmented or pretty sheer. I have pigmented lips and while the color does show up its not as bright as in the tube. Another thing is because the formulation of the Rouge Pur Couture Lustres is not like the Rouge Volupte no matter what you won't get the opaqueness that the latter lipstick offers. Hope this helps! - Answer Hi, I recently bought this shade of lipstick. I love it. I do not find it too strong a color. It has a nice shimmer to it, and stays on quite long. It goes on light, creamy but not in a heavy cover kind of way. I wear it both for day and casual evening. To give you a frame of reference, I am blonde with a light complexion. I'm a crossdresser and I tend to wear darker colors. I saw this and thought it would look great with my facial coloring. :)
i love the texture of this lipstick.. i had 3 in a discontinued color that i was trying to get a close match. this lipstick is wonderlly moist, stays on and has a luscious shimmer. ( i hate lip gloss and sticky lips)
Saw it on Kerry Washington in the InStyle March, 2012 magazine.
Here I would have preferred to buy a deeper color with more lasting color properties. Maybe not that creamy or lustrous. I loose it real fast.
I thought this would have better coverage and more of a golden untertone. I was disappointed. Buying lipstick online is just plain difficult.

Saw a girl at the pharmacy with gorgous makeup on. Her lipstick color was amazing I asked her were she got it from she said YSL at Barneys
Because I have a light complexion with gray/white hair, and this color looks good on me; I really like the brightness and shine. This lipstick is very comfortable. I put it on and blot, and apply a second coat. When the first coat wears off, I still have a tint of color on my lips.
