Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Grail Foundation I purchased this foundation because it was recommended for my dry sensitive skin. I have never reviewed a foundation before, but I am over the moon with this makeup. I have a light-medium skin tone that is neutral-cool. I purchased the BR40 color and it is a spot on match. BUT...that's not even the half of my excitement. After trying what seems like every foundation on the market, I have found my forever love in this foundation. It is creamy, moderate-full coverage, radiant, and so comfortable to wear. I love the way it melds with the skin and feels like nothing at all. It doesn't settle in my lines, but rather, blurs them out and softens them. The price point on this is rather high, but WOW does it deliver! No more settling for a foundation that I sort of like. Thanks YSL...this is a slam-dunk for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed No other foundation worked for me like the old formula! I like to look like me and the new formula gives me more coverage than I am comfortable with. So disappointed :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Touche Eclat foundation.... Please bring back the original Touche Eclat formula!! There was more radiance and now the color selection is completely different! I cannot find the shade that matched my skin perfectly... One is too light and the next shade up is too dark...so sad! The newer one is nice but does not have the fabulous texture of the original!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this foundation! I have used this product for a couple of years now. Always come back to it. Feels moist and creamy, but at the same time it is not greasy or oily. Goes on smoothly. Love it and the color is perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment! I used to buy this foundation in its original formula and Loved it! Now the color doesn't match my skin tone at all!! It's a lot darker and not even close to the radiance it used to give my face before. Please BRING back the Old Fomula!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best foundation ever! I'd used YSL former Touche Eclat Foundation, but color became too dark. DR60, I think it was. (My skin had been darker from medication.) At that time, you had no other R shades. It was actually always a little too dark. Since then, newer line and more shades in R, this one BR40 Cool Sand and it's absolutely perfect shade and silky as ever! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this foundation! I got this during the sale because I've been hearing so many good things about it. I'm so glad I did because it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I absolutely love the finish and it lasts all day. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're on the fence.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very dissapointed in new formula. I knew something was up when I received this. It wasn't the same formula as the previous version. WHICH I USED TO LOVE!! Please bring it back! Do not like the new formula at all. The color is off and the end result isnt flawless like before. :( So sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new formula is a downgrade I have used the original Touche Eclat for years. It looked perfect on my skin, in rain or shine. The new formula is so much worse -- it doesn't give the same dewy look, and the shades do not match my skin at well. Please offer the old one again alongside this new product so customers have a choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Skin problems and dirty brush I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. Then several days later I opened it and used with the Y brush. A couple of days passed and I started breaking out. The brush collects a lot of product and I struggled to clean it but could not get all of the product out of it. My aesthetician thinks I have contact dermatitis and now I am afraid to use either the foundation or the brush. I need to return it and get a refund. I would ke for customer service to contact me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the new formula I've been using Touché Eclat for years, and was smitten! But then it was "improved upon". I share the sentiments of other reviewers- the revised formula has lost the wonderful features of the old. The texture is quite a bit drier, and does not leave the beautiful, seamless glow it once did. Fine lines and imperfections are more emphasized. The colors are also different, and are no longer are a good match for my skin tone. The "Rose" is gone from the Rose Beige formula. Quite disappointing- I'll be looking for a replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love love love I liked the old formula but LOVE the new formula! As an older woman with dry skin this makes my skin appear younger and brighter. This foundation does just what it claims to do, I could not be happier. Please continue making this formula!!! I also use the blur primer with gold flecks in it and that really makes a big difference. I am such a fan, this is my holy grail foundation. LOVE this foundation!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So sad that it's been reformulated I've been using this foundation for years. BD40 was my PERFECT match, and I've been ordering it online ever since. This morning I opened a new bottle of my usual BD40, finding out that it had been reformulated, and not only is the formula significally worse (thicker, not nearly as dewy) but the color has been changed from a light/one the neutral side shade to something that on my skin looked really orange. Dark orange. The full bottle of foundation I might as well throw away. I later went to the store to try to find a new shade, thinking I could live with the formula if they at least made a new comparable shade to the old BD40, well - they didn't. So I'm now on the hunt for a new perfect foundation yet again, and the only thing I'm sure of is that it won't be one from YSL.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed. I always used the old formulation for my rosacea prone skin. It was one of the best formulations on the market as it did not have any of the ingredients that irritate my skin. Now I have to find a new product and head back to my dematologist. The new version is such a disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old formula!!!! I loved this foundation UNTIL they reformulated it. Please make the old formula available again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the new formula I was a big fan of the old foundation my shade was b50 it was amazing shade , when the new foudation arrived i bought it in the same previous shade tone but then i realized that the foundation is sooo dark on my skin and it's gives me a dirty look :( i repurchased a new shade and i pick bd25 this shade match me very well . I really like it it's gives me full cover with satin finish

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy I have been using the foundation since it it first came out and made the mistake of buying it with the new formulation without trying it out first. I was counting on it being the usual quality that I would expect from YSL. I tried it once, immediately removed it, and am ready to just toss the bottle. It makes my skin appear uneven, shows every imperfection, even my husband noticed. Save your money!
Date published: 2016-09-14
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old formula!!! Just tried the new formula and I hate it!!! My coworkers noticed a difference in my skin immediately. I guess I need to look for a new foundation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheap glass bottle The color was a bit darker than the previous bottle I had purchased of the same shade. It was fell out of my hands with the first week of having it and the bottle completely shattered!
Date published: 2016-09-03
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same as the original formula Please YSL bring back the original formula of this foundation!!! This is a completely different product now. The old foundation was the only one on the market without a hint of a matte finish...the new one is matte like every other foundation out there! Please bring back the old formula, I know so many people are disappointed that they have lost their hg foundation.
Date published: 2016-08-26
Rated 1 out of 5 by from New formulation is horrible I have worn Touche Eclat for over two years and loved it until they changed the formula. Let me paint you a picture -- I bought a new bottle, unaware of the change. When putting it on I thought it looked somewhat darker and the texture seemed different. When I stepped out of the bathroom, my boyfriend audibly gasped. My face was orange. New BD40 is much, much darker than the old BD40. So I went to the store and exchanged it for a lighter color, but it still looks pretty awful. Somehow YSL has managed to also eliminate all of the qualities of the original that made it so appealing -- the light texture, the beautiful way it looked in natural and artificial lighting, the super dewy finish. The new one is cakey and much thicker. Basically, I have never been so disappointed in a makeup product.

What's the difference of this foundation with other foundation production in YSL?
Asked by: Anonymous
It goes on smooth and provides a radiance and that is unmatched. You ask what is the difference between this makeup, it is made so that it is natural, medium/light coverage and is great for those over 40. The matte makeup which this is not, is for those under 20-40 who have no lines, or wrinkles. I have been using this for a few years since first introduced and is light and weight-free and allows my skin to look beautiful, evens the complexion and allows for radiant young skin! Give it a try!

Is this foundation full coverage? I am looking for a foundation that is full coverage to cover acne scars!
Asked by: TiffanyF
Hello- this foundation has very sheer, lightweight coverage. While it will help tone down redness to give an overall healthier appearance to your skin, it definitely won't cover scarring. Le Teint Touche Éclat is more of a perfecting foundation, for those whose skin doesn't have any huge issues. In a sense, it does make what you have look better...but it won't completely transform the skin. There are many other full coverage options available however. Good luck!

Hi, I was matched up to BD40 and got a sample and it just was perfect it blended in and couldn't see anything, I but later on in the day I noticed a slight yellow undertone that didn't match my neck, I swear it wasn't there when I put it on, I applied my make up in natural light so I just didn't understand, since then I have checked the chart and the colours don't make sense the BD30 is darker than the BD40 and the beige shades in B30/B40 seem even darker, I guess I must be beige, so my question is which beige shade is as soft/light as the BD40 (which I love) minus the yellow? please help I'm so confused : ( TY
Asked by: kellyA
I have light neutral skin and bought the BD30 which proved to be much too light for me, therefore; I went back to BR30, which works better for my skin tone (no yellow). Sorry, I can't be of much help to you.

Asked by: BarbaraU
This foundation is for a beautiful radiant natural look, so not suggested to those who want a more sophisticated and fuller coverage. But you will need the pen to compete a radiant complexion. I work for YSL and all my customer absolutely LOVE it, but wouldn't suggest to women who don't like a natural foundation. Better going for Youth Liberator Serum Foundation, Teint Resist or Perfect Touch.

I get acne occasionally. This foundation did not break me out at all. Coverage is medium so you may need a concealer to cover deeper scars or recent break outs. NLT I find that staying away from foundation during a break out also helps with acne. And taking off my make up real well before going to bed is a must. I highly recommend Le Teint Touché Éclat.

Asked by: KatherineL
The best advice I can give you is to use the chart with all of the models depicting all of the varieties of skin and hair color and pick the foundation that Yves St. Laurent Recommends. The chart is a link on the same page where you can purchase the foundation. I have dark brown hair with light skin with peach under tones, so unfortunately I cannot advise you to use what I use. However the chart is very accurate. I would refer you to the chart or to call someone in customer services.

As you said you has pinkies cheeks and nose i would recommend to use yellow undertone foundation because this will help even out your skin color if you have redness on you face and you apply pink undertone foundation , it will only make the redness even more ( redness on your face doesn't mean you have pink undertone skin . You need to see you body skin tone as well )
