Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Foundation I have ever used- period! This is hands- down the BEST foundation I have ever used in my life! I have olive skin and finding a foundation to match my shade has been forever challenging! I will use this foundation for the rest of m life!!!!! Receive so many compliments on my skin since I started using it! Please don't ever change the formula! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Life changing

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Coverage Very Flattering Excellent: I receive complements. I'm told I look Younger.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the same Used the old formulation in the shade B10 for years and it matched me perfectly! No matter what other foundations I tried, nothing could compare to it. When I used the new foundation I knew something was off immediately. This is nowhere near as smooth and beautiful as the old kind. It applies patchy (even using a Beauty Blender) and is harder to blend, isn't as illuminating, and doesn't smell anywhere near as pleasant. I had a little bit of the old bottle left and compared the colors of the two side by side, and the newer one is not as light with a more yellow/orange shade to it. Very disappointed in my all time favorite foundation. Hoping I will be able to locate bottles of the old formula online somewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light It is lightweight but can not last for whole day especially for my combination skin type. Overall it is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Grail Foundation I purchased this foundation because it was recommended for my dry sensitive skin. I have never reviewed a foundation before, but I am over the moon with this makeup. I have a light-medium skin tone that is neutral-cool. I purchased the BR40 color and it is a spot on match. BUT...that's not even the half of my excitement. After trying what seems like every foundation on the market, I have found my forever love in this foundation. It is creamy, moderate-full coverage, radiant, and so comfortable to wear. I love the way it melds with the skin and feels like nothing at all. It doesn't settle in my lines, but rather, blurs them out and softens them. The price point on this is rather high, but WOW does it deliver! No more settling for a foundation that I sort of like. Thanks YSL...this is a slam-dunk for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed No other foundation worked for me like the old formula! I like to look like me and the new formula gives me more coverage than I am comfortable with. So disappointed :(

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Touche Eclat foundation.... Please bring back the original Touche Eclat formula!! There was more radiance and now the color selection is completely different! I cannot find the shade that matched my skin perfectly... One is too light and the next shade up is too dark...so sad! The newer one is nice but does not have the fabulous texture of the original!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this foundation! I have used this product for a couple of years now. Always come back to it. Feels moist and creamy, but at the same time it is not greasy or oily. Goes on smoothly. Love it and the color is perfect!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment! I used to buy this foundation in its original formula and Loved it! Now the color doesn't match my skin tone at all!! It's a lot darker and not even close to the radiance it used to give my face before. Please BRING back the Old Fomula!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best foundation ever! I'd used YSL former Touche Eclat Foundation, but color became too dark. DR60, I think it was. (My skin had been darker from medication.) At that time, you had no other R shades. It was actually always a little too dark. Since then, newer line and more shades in R, this one BR40 Cool Sand and it's absolutely perfect shade and silky as ever! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this foundation! I got this during the sale because I've been hearing so many good things about it. I'm so glad I did because it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I absolutely love the finish and it lasts all day. I would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're on the fence.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very dissapointed in new formula. I knew something was up when I received this. It wasn't the same formula as the previous version. WHICH I USED TO LOVE!! Please bring it back! Do not like the new formula at all. The color is off and the end result isnt flawless like before. :( So sad.
Date published: 2016-12-08
Rated 1 out of 5 by from The new formula is a downgrade I have used the original Touche Eclat for years. It looked perfect on my skin, in rain or shine. The new formula is so much worse -- it doesn't give the same dewy look, and the shades do not match my skin at well. Please offer the old one again alongside this new product so customers have a choice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Skin problems and dirty brush I purchased this a couple of weeks ago. Then several days later I opened it and used with the Y brush. A couple of days passed and I started breaking out. The brush collects a lot of product and I struggled to clean it but could not get all of the product out of it. My aesthetician thinks I have contact dermatitis and now I am afraid to use either the foundation or the brush. I need to return it and get a refund. I would ke for customer service to contact me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed in the new formula I've been using Touché Eclat for years, and was smitten! But then it was "improved upon". I share the sentiments of other reviewers- the revised formula has lost the wonderful features of the old. The texture is quite a bit drier, and does not leave the beautiful, seamless glow it once did. Fine lines and imperfections are more emphasized. The colors are also different, and are no longer are a good match for my skin tone. The "Rose" is gone from the Rose Beige formula. Quite disappointing- I'll be looking for a replacement.
Date published: 2016-10-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from love love love I liked the old formula but LOVE the new formula! As an older woman with dry skin this makes my skin appear younger and brighter. This foundation does just what it claims to do, I could not be happier. Please continue making this formula!!! I also use the blur primer with gold flecks in it and that really makes a big difference. I am such a fan, this is my holy grail foundation. LOVE this foundation!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So sad that it's been reformulated I've been using this foundation for years. BD40 was my PERFECT match, and I've been ordering it online ever since. This morning I opened a new bottle of my usual BD40, finding out that it had been reformulated, and not only is the formula significally worse (thicker, not nearly as dewy) but the color has been changed from a light/one the neutral side shade to something that on my skin looked really orange. Dark orange. The full bottle of foundation I might as well throw away. I later went to the store to try to find a new shade, thinking I could live with the formula if they at least made a new comparable shade to the old BD40, well - they didn't. So I'm now on the hunt for a new perfect foundation yet again, and the only thing I'm sure of is that it won't be one from YSL.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So disappointed. I always used the old formulation for my rosacea prone skin. It was one of the best formulations on the market as it did not have any of the ingredients that irritate my skin. Now I have to find a new product and head back to my dematologist. The new version is such a disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old formula!!!! I loved this foundation UNTIL they reformulated it. Please make the old formula available again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like the new formula I was a big fan of the old foundation my shade was b50 it was amazing shade , when the new foudation arrived i bought it in the same previous shade tone but then i realized that the foundation is sooo dark on my skin and it's gives me a dirty look :( i repurchased a new shade and i pick bd25 this shade match me very well . I really like it it's gives me full cover with satin finish
Date published: 2016-09-24
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy I have been using the foundation since it it first came out and made the mistake of buying it with the new formulation without trying it out first. I was counting on it being the usual quality that I would expect from YSL. I tried it once, immediately removed it, and am ready to just toss the bottle. It makes my skin appear uneven, shows every imperfection, even my husband noticed. Save your money!

Is BR50 intended to tone down pinkish/red skin or add a rosy color? I had B50 and replaced it with BR50 thinking it would help negate my red skin, but I’m wondering if it adds a rosy color to it?

Asked by: Suzie
Hi Suzie! Thank you for reaching out about the Trouch Eclate foundation. The B, BD and BR indicate their undertones. B is neutral, BD is Beige Dore (Golden) and BR is Beige radiant (Pink). Based on the shade you were using B50 which means your skin undertone is neutral. BR50 will add some rosy undertone when used. It is difficult to provide you with a suitable shade match through this type of communication, please visit a store for proper color matching! We hope you find your perfect Yves Saint Laurent foundation shade soon!

I just bought it. Is it non comedogenic? Tks!

Asked by: PattyBr
Hi Patty! The term non-comedogenic indicates that the product has a low potential for clogging pores. The presence or absence of oil in a product does not mean a product will or will not be non-comedogenic. Not all products are tested for non-comedogenicity. If the non-comedogenic claim does not appear on the product, it is not an indication the product is comedogenic.

I got a sample of makeup in shade B45.   I liked it, but went back to buy and is different color.  Do you have two foundations?  What is the difference between Br and just B?

Asked by: Mary
Dear Mary, All the BR formulas have a slight rose tint, and are for cooler toned complexions. The B formulas are for beige, or more neutral complexions. However, I am frequently having the experience with this foundation where the color tends to be inconsistent between batches. I use the BR and it has been darker, and more beige less rose, with each purchase. So, these days it doesn't match my skin tone at all. I'm mentioning this because it could be the reason your sample was different from the color you saw when you went back to buy it. I hope this is of some help, and you're able to find a good shade match for you! My best,  Rhoda

I have been using Touche Eclat for 4 yrs now in BD40 it was perfection. Since the new formula was released I have purchased 4 different colors to try and find my perfect shade and it so frustration that the colors are so off. I have tried BD40, BD30 & B40 nothing works they are all to dark. Should I try B30 or do I have to mix 2 different colors?
Asked by: EvieM
I loved old BD40. Shop assistant found for me new B20, but its too orange and she had a problem to give me a small sample of it, because she said, that she doesnt have more big sample for it, what sounded really strange, because that foundation isnt cheap. At the end she gave me a small sample, but its not that color Im really looking for, so I have to go there and ask again for better match. I also got a feeling that this new foundation dry my skin, like there is some kind of powder with it. Im really thinking to change my foundation for different brand. I used my old foundation for 4 years and was very thankfull for that time.

Decide first whether you want a warm base (yellowish) or a cool base (beige or pink) and then if it's just a little darker than you want go to B20 or B25. If you think it's a lot darker then go up to a 10 or 15.

I've never worn Mac but it seems a high majority of women are at a medium level. I've learned that a warmer golden tone makes a women look younger. I'm 36 blonde hair blue eyes not pale have reddish skin tones and I wear BD (that's beige the warm tone) 50. If you are very pale probably need less than 50. If you over 30 is go with a BD no matter the number this foundation makes my combo skin glow doesn't stick to dry spots and I use a little YSL powder on oily spots

I love this foundation and is the only one I will now even consider . The coverage is good and it gives a dewy , youthful glow as well. The color is also natural looking and it stays all day .. No need to reapply. ...a keeper. One thing to consider when applying though... Best applied using a sponge . You can then go back and apply over to dark or red spots . Great product.

Due to the pink undertones I would suggest the #2. I love both #1 and #2 and there is not a lot of difference between the two, however, I think the #1 has a little more beige and the #2 a little more pink. You can't go wrong with either one.

It is the best foundation I have ever had. It is oil free and it make your skin looks radiance. I have tried many brands and this is my favorite.
