Questions and Answers
In the summer, I only use Touche Éclat, mascara, and one of Yves Saint Laurent's lip gloss. I have a radiant face, with a summer glow. Folks are clueless that I have anything on my face. I use it around my eyes, lips, and forehead. My girlfriend, Pamela Minters, is a high-end makeup artist, and she introduced me to this great product for my professional photo shot. I have introduced several of my racially diverse girlfriends, and they love it.

When I was deciding my Touche Eclat, I was also deciding between #1 and #8. I ended up getting #8 because it does cover up my dark spots and blemishes pretty well, and I also find #1 a tad too orange and pink and does look weird with covering.... so if you are pale, I think you should go with #1. Hope it helps!

but I always use #l. I use it as a highlighter (under my brows, Etc.).
I have never used any other shade but #1. I hope I have helped
you. Apr 26, 2012
When I bought mine, I was deciding between #1 and #8 as well, I ended up getting #8 because #8 is better for covering my blemishes and dark circles while #1 has a slight orangey-pinkish tint to it that doesnt cover up well for me. So I would go with #8 if you are fair toned! Apr 26, 2012
I am fair with blue eyes and blond/light brown hair. I used the color chart on the website, choosing the model that was most like my coloring. I had a hard time deciding between two different models, but once I made my choice, it turned out that several of the models used the same shade that was recommended for me - including the two I was considering. After having used this product, I am very happy with this color choice and will continue to use the product. Advice - trust the color chart!

I used to use a yellow-based concealer stick which seemed to work better but it was kind of chalky.

How to apply Touche Éclat if im using a liquid foundation and loose powder? Do I apply Touche Éclat after liquid foundation and before loose powder or is after loose powder? Jul 21, 2013
Which one is the lightest color? Nov 18, 2012
Since this is a concealer it is best to match your skin's tone, so that the Touche Eclat blends in and hides any lines or imperfections. I also use it on my lips before the liner and lipstick. It makes the lipstick stay fresh longer.
I hope I answered your query.

worry about warm or cool because it is right for both. Apr 19, 2012
Although I can't predict what this product will do for you, but I can tell you it is the best concealer for dark circles under the eyes that I have ever used! It lasts along time also. You only need a small amount.

I am with blue eyes and brown hair. My skin is fair and was told that I have blue/green undertone. Also my area around the nose is a bit read. What do you suggest? Oct 23, 2012
It sounds like touche eclat would work for you to mask that red area. Brush it on lightly over your foundation then finish with a powder. You might try color number 2. It works very well in the under eye area to improve circles.

of my eyes, down the center of my nose and anywhere else I feel
I need it. I couldn't live without this product!!!!!! Aug 30, 2012

Very good product if you can find it. The only down side is it
does not last long as the container is quite small.
Would be great if YSL came up with a large one, even if the
price is more.

I use #2 as well. It's perfect for me. I'm between a light and medium complexion. I usually buy a Tout every 3 months but then I have one in my bathroom and one in my purse. Lyn Jul 9, 2012
The Touche Eclat are still numbered in the store or on line; however the colors refer to what undertones you are. That being said you will have to figure out what number you are...I know that #2 is a universal color. If it doesn't work for you then just take it back to the store and exchange it for the correct color. Remember all makeup and skincare is returnable.
I have #2 and to me it has more pink undertones in it not yellow.
Good luck Apr 27, 2012
It provides wonderfully smooth coverage under eyes with plenty of balancing tones to cover any discoloration.
I find this shade to be more effective with Hispanic and Mediterranean complexions as it is bright enough to function as an under-eye highlight, and my favorite part about this product is there is no need to powder or set this makeup. Apr 2, 2012
I have the same problem with YSL foundation. I have Teint Majur #4 and #6 and Tient Radiance #5 which are recommended by different YSL make up aritists. Lately I find out #4 is a little lighter on me but if I use power #3 it will look ok! Can you tell me which color is the best for my skin tone?

under my brows, inside the corner of my eyes and anywhere else I want a natural glow. I have been using this same color for years, even when I am darker in the summer. I hope this helps you. Oct 2, 2013

This choice works great for me and I have skin tones like you described. Jun 5, 2012
to use in in the corners of my eyes to brighten them. I also
use it where ever I need some highlights (down my nose,
under my eyebrows, etc.) I wouldn't be without it!!! May 30, 2012
I put on all my other makeup first, except mascara, and then I apply it under the eyes for a lighter, brighter look.
Hope you love it as much as I do. Jun 6, 2012

I do a lot of on camera work and this is one of my favorite products.
In addition, remember to stay hydrated during the day. Really drink your water. I notice too that the bags under my eyes settle down when I sleep on my back, with my head slightly elevated. (two pillows) :) May 13, 2012
I had a similar problem. I have a medium skin tone and I wasn't sure whether to go with the medium or light shade. I went with the light because you can always tone it down with a touch of your foundation. The purpose of éclat for me was to brighten the area under my eyes so you want to go lighter than your normal foundation. It worked great for me.
I even put a touch of it over my foundation around the sides of my nose and mouth where shadows gather.
Hope you find this helpful,

I'm caucasian and overall look most similar to # 5, just with lighter hair.
