The top note is almost cold through the presence of a fused spicy note combined with the freshness of bergamot. Then come sumptuous, silky soft notes of white flower. At the heart lies quintessentially elegant iris, a flower with woody overtones. The base opens onto a note of oak moss which is the hallmark of the elegance of chypre fragrances, associated with patchouli. Deep, vibrant and intense, patchouli accompanies the floral note to create a mysterious and exciting trail which leaves quite remarkable presence.

Question I guess, I have the same questions as the other ladies. Does this product have the same olfatory families as it was produced long time ago. Besides the packing, does it have the same formula? I feel really anxious for your prompt reply. Thanks. Gina

Question I have worn Y eau de parfum for years and am so excited that it has been re-issued. It has to be the same though, can't wear new formulations- think Rive Gauche or Coco. Is the new stuff EXACTLY (apart from packaging) the same formulation? thanks for your help! jlb
- Answer I too am very particular about whether a reissue smells exactly like it did--most don't. I have some new Rive Gauche and it is not the same. But this one is very close, almost as I remember,and it lasts. I like it and it brings back all the memories of when I wore it before. I think the ingredients in all fragrances are different now than in the past, and that may be why nothing is exactly the same or as good as they were when they were made in the past. But this one is way better than most. Take a chance. You might like it even thought it is not exactly perfect. I do. Hope this helps. by Carolyn H 04/20/12
Question is it possible to get any samples of yves st. l products. I was shopping in Macy's and bought the body creme----and i asked for samples and they said they do not have anything. How is one to try anything else without a sample to take home? I feel when you spend a lot of money on something--the least that can be done is a customer should be able to receive the new poroduct samples. Macy's never supplies them and I KNOW they are sent them!
