Question The volume effect faux cils brown and grey are out of stock. Are you discontinuing this line of colors? I had been having trouble with these mascaras which previously I had loved because they became very dried out and clumpy almost immediately. Are you trying to fix this problem?
Question Madonna references the color Aubergine? What color would she mean?
- Answer Madonna references the color Aubergine. by Yelena Z 05/10/12
- Answer My best guess would be the burgundy. Aubergine is a sort of plum color, so I think violet would be too intense of a purple. I hope this helps! by Amy B 05/10/12
- Answer Eggplant by Michelle S 05/09/12
Question is this mascara waterproof? (not jus tear proof but can i also go swimming with this on?)
- Answer If you are looking for a mascara to wear to the pool or beach, you are going to want something that is specifically advertised as a "waterproof" formula. I love this mascara, but I'm not sure it would hold up well if you're planning to go swimming. I usually wear this for really soft, thick, lush lashes - work or out on the weekend. It applies really nicely and smells good, too. I opt for a truly "waterproof" mascara if I'm planning to go swimming. Hope this helps! by Amy B 04/03/12
- Answer The answer is no...as I have gone swimming with it on, as long as I didn't touch my eye lashses it remained in place..once you touch it, it will come off. by Kristen S 03/31/12
- Answer Hi,
This mascara is not water-proof, but it does hold up well if you allow it to dry. I also found that using a mascara primer and letting THAT dry before putting the mascara on really helps.
I still think it's a great mascara and gives a nice look to your lashes. The color makes my green eyes pop, yet doesn't look garish on. by Susan K 03/30/12
Question I was looking for a mascara that doesn't smudge or damage the lashes. This one says it has Vitamins and other ingredients that protect the lashes. Pls tell me if this makes your lashes fall.
And also suggest if brown is better or burgundy? For dark brown (almost black) eyes. Thanks!
- Answer This is the softest mascara I have used. It is very gentle and does not cause my lashes to fall out. I have only used the black. I have grey/blue eyes. by Amy B 05/10/12
- Answer I have used both colors, I have brown hair and grn eyes and prefer the burgundy for the softer look, brown for the standard. Probably you would prefer the brown. Love the mascara, but it does dry out fairly quickly (as they all seem to) Definitely does not dry out the lashes/nor damage them at all. use a curler before (not after) applying and there would be no loss/damage from any eyelashes sticking to the curler. hope this helps! by dainese c 02/22/12
- Answer The mascara is great. I love it. I have never use brown or burgundy.
Best regards. by tatyana k 02/21/12
Question what is the difference between the colour burgundy and plum?
- Answer The plum is less reddish (more deep eggplant) burgundy more red tinted. Great mascara! by Sadie M B 02/22/12
- Answer Hi!
Buy the burgundy!!! I had always bought the black in this great mascara, but wanted to try a color a couple of years ago. I originally wanted to buy the plum, but was advised by a cosmetic rep that I would be much happier with the burgundy and that it was really more purple. I was hesitant at first because it sounded weird and I didn't want reddish eyelashes!! But it wasn't red at all, in fact it was purple. Perhaps it has been misnamed!!
Go for the burgundy! by yvonne l 02/17/12
- Answer The color burgundy and plum are not the same
color by Mamak C 02/17/12
- Answer I can't say based on actually seeing both next to each other. But, I do own the burgundy. It's a maroon type color; reddish-brown. Plum, I assume is purple. The burgundy looks great on my blue eyes, making them appear even bluer. by M Kimberly M 02/17/12
- Answer burgundy is a better color because it is dramatic yet softer and sexy
plum is good some times at the outer edges it does make my eyes blue but it basically is harsh with a more tired look when used alone
burgundy can make my eye green, tourquiss or sky blue depanding what i am wearing with basically neutral shadow by joan r 02/16/12
Like to try a variety of mascaras and different colors (which enhance eye color).
It was listed as the mascara that Madonna wears in People Magazine.
I chose this mascara because it gives me a lush, thick, full, soft look. My lashes remain flexible and do not fall out. It is a great wearing formula and it's easy to remove, too. I have purchased this before and will continue to purchase it. The benefits outweigh the cost. It's worth it!
My favorite mascara. Not clumpy or "spiky". Still waiting for the Midnight Blue to become available again. This color brightens the whites of your eyes in a very subtle manner. It truly is amazing. I only use on my top lashes. Bottom lashes bare or I use waterproof Singulair.
I saw an article about Madonna recommending this in People magazine.
Saw that Madonna likes this mascara in People Magazine.
It really thickens up my sparse eyelashes. I love this too!
tHIS BY FAR THE BEST MASCARA OUT ON THE MARKET. lOVE THE BLUE COLOR AND THE WAY IT MAKE YOUR LASHES STAND OUT.
Absolutely love this mascara! So glad YSL offers free shipping on any purchase. I'm a customer for life!
It's the perfect dark blue that I've always worn. A bonus: I am allergic to most mascaras, but not this one.
It makes my lashes look long full glamourous and gorgeous
because is was written up in an article where diane von furstenberg mentioned it as her favorite. Figured it would be worth a try...
This is the only mascara I will use. I absolutely love it! Lengthens and separates lashes perfectly. I won't use anything else!
I love this mascara! It gives your lashes added weight and depth- I got my sisters and my mom hooked.
Always looking for a good mascara. Saw this when shopping for the Touche Eclat. Have always used black, but once was told that brown mascara is good for a person with blue eyes. Was curious so decided to order the dark brown. Very anxious to see how well this works.
i have long but thin lashes.... hoping this is also magical
This is the best mascara i have ever used! I dont leave this product since i have tried it, what was 6 years ago! Will defanitly recomend it to the customers!
I loooove this mascara, and it has been the only mascara for me for about 10 years...maybe longer. I don't wear much make-up, and have green eyes, so it's nice when someone notices that it is purple! (i.e. it is not obviously purple, most of the time looks black unless I'm in direct sun)
The other bonus is that it doesn't smudge or streak, but washes off easily with water!
Angie told me I should use brown mascara. I love the brown and I love the mascara. I will continue to buy it.
