NO it is the best of all the mascaras I have used . I am a make up artist so I GUESS i am very picky when it comes to mascara. However at one time one of my students in my esthetics class put a cleanser containing g. acid and she melted my eyelashes and this is the only product that made my lashes look normal. Now they have grown back but as long as you have an eyelash comb you can layer it and comb it through . If you nice eyelashes you only need one coat or you can apply condition first than use this m, your eyelashes will look fantastic. Take it from someone that used to wear false eyelashes everyday a long time ago. This mascara is the best!

Hi- I use this mascara ALL the time. It does not make your lashes heavy at all. I lenghens and thickens them to the point where it looks like you have on fake lashes, without having that clumpy look.

And that are warm colours.

I can't say based on actually seeing both next to each other. But, I do own the burgundy. It's a maroon type color; reddish-brown. Plum, I assume is purple. The burgundy looks great on my blue eyes, making them appear even bluer.

I have dark - almost black - hair, and I bought this mascara in burgundy (#5). It shows up almost black on me, so I can wear it with any color eye makeup, but it's just a fun depth color you don't get with other mascaras. The blue/brighter shades might be more visible, but I love my burgundy.

Hi, I also have hazel eyes, dark hair. I LOVE #6. It is a very subtle, deep blue. It brightens the eyes. Also, I am currently using #5 in Singulair and am very pleased with this color as well. I have also used #5 (Burgundy) in Faux cils for an almost "natural" look. But, you should definitely give the dark blues a try. I rarely wear black mascara anymore!

If you are looking for a mascara to wear to the pool or beach, you are going to want something that is specifically advertised as a "waterproof" formula. I love this mascara, but I'm not sure it would hold up well if you're planning to go swimming. I usually wear this for really soft, thick, lush lashes - work or out on the weekend. It applies really nicely and smells good, too. I opt for a truly "waterproof" mascara if I'm planning to go swimming. Hope this helps!

This mascara is not water-proof, but it does hold up well if you allow it to dry. I also found that using a mascara primer and letting THAT dry before putting the mascara on really helps.

I have used both colors, I have brown hair and grn eyes and prefer the burgundy for the softer look, brown for the standard. Probably you would prefer the brown. Love the mascara, but it does dry out fairly quickly (as they all seem to) Definitely does not dry out the lashes/nor damage them at all. use a curler before (not after) applying and there would be no loss/damage from any eyelashes sticking to the curler. hope this helps!

It depends on what you like best. I am very fair and think black looks ghoulish on me. I usually wear brown. Ten years ago, actually it has been longer, I started wearing the purple mascara occasionally. It's not a bright purple, it's subtle and more intense than brown.
I also have blue eyes and I did not like myself in the blue mascara.
I don't know if it's the pigment or the way it looks, but the purple seems to make my eyelashes thicker than the brown. It's really a personal preference. I alternate between brown and purple. Don't go overboard with the purple by using a purple liner, I use brown.
