Volume Effet Faux Cils
This award-winning volumizing mascara achieves a dramatic result in a single stroke. The secret? The triple-film complex. A coating film for intensity, a conditioning film with pro-vitamin B5 and aloe vera for curves and a fixing film with vinyl polymer for long-lasting effectiveness. The brush applicator combines nylon fibers of varying diameters for volume enhancement, as never before.

My daughter and I LOVE it !
She has allergies and can only use this exact YSL Mascara because of the ingredients. Im sure she will love this one too.
I ordered the "Baby Doll" version for me :) Oct 3, 2013
The other bonus is that it doesn't smudge or streak, but washes off easily with water! Feb 18, 2012
while the Volume Effet Faux Cils does thicken your lashes, I do not experience my lashes as feeling heavier. I am very pleased with the way my lashes I look and feel. I also find that this mascara stays on well during the day and washes of quite easily at night. Jul 21, 2012

Yes please BRING BURGANDY BACK Feb 22, 2014
I have green eyes and find the purple mascara actually is the most flattering. It doesn't look too purple on. Burgundy seems that it would be flattering, but I don't like to use red hues near the eye because if your eyes get red it may actually highlight it. The blue is good too. I often use a brown mascara for a softer look for everyday. Hope this helps you. This is a very good mascara, you get good length and separation. Nov 8, 2013
Buy the burgundy!!! I had always bought the black in this great mascara, but wanted to try a color a couple of years ago. I originally wanted to buy the plum, but was advised by a cosmetic rep that I would be much happier with the burgundy and that it was really more purple. I was hesitant at first because it sounded weird and I didn't want reddish eyelashes!! But it wasn't red at all, in fact it was purple. Perhaps it has been misnamed!!
Go for the burgundy! Feb 17, 2012
This is very clear, and helps me in my choice (I have dark brown eyes).
greetings Feb 17, 2012
plum is good some times at the outer edges it does make my eyes blue but it basically is harsh with a more tired look when used alone
burgundy can make my eye green, tourquiss or sky blue depanding what i am wearing with basically neutral shadow Feb 16, 2012
I have the eye shadow from 5 colour harmony (no 2) with brown roze and purple.
And that are warm colours.
So I hope the burgundy must be not too red.

This mascara is not water-proof, but it does hold up well if you allow it to dry. I also found that using a mascara primer and letting THAT dry before putting the mascara on really helps.
I still think it's a great mascara and gives a nice look to your lashes. The color makes my green eyes pop, yet doesn't look garish on. Mar 30, 2012
And also suggest if brown is better or burgundy? For dark brown (almost black) eyes. Thanks! Feb 21, 2012

I also have blue eyes and I did not like myself in the blue mascara.
I don't know if it's the pigment or the way it looks, but the purple seems to make my eyelashes thicker than the brown. It's really a personal preference. I alternate between brown and purple. Don't go overboard with the purple by using a purple liner, I use brown.
Try it and see what you think. Carol Dec 19, 2012

If you have brn hair, probably black is the most dramatic, if blonde hair then brn or violet (I have used violet also) beautiful color! Aug 29, 2012
