I also love it because it can be applied lighter or darker depending on the look you are trying to acheive. More dramatic for evening and lighter for day wear. The gloss is a subtle natural looking shine - if you don't eat or lick your lips or such, it will stay there for about 3 hours. Once the gloss is off, the stain would stay for the rest of the time so long as you don't eat or drink too much. The stain of the darker colors will of course be more obvious longer. But I also have the coral shade and after lunch the stain gives my lips a natural looking pink blush. (rather than no color or looks dry) Overall, it's really great - I didn't regret buying 3 and will buy more shades again.

I have very dry lips and had the same problem with stains. This works much better for me. It lasts and my lips don't dry out as much. I would think any of the shades 3-5 would work well with your coloring.

It lasts for a good while, compared to other lipsticks and lip glosses. I'm not sure if it lasts longer than any other lip stain, though. When it starts to wear off, it leaves a line of product around your lips... Like a lip liner-type line... Which can be quite annoying. Just make sure to wipe the line off and re-apply from scratch and you should be golden. :)

I can't say exactly since my skin is olive/ golden so I am the opposite- can't do pink and I need warm tones. But it seems like the Rose Vinyl or the Corall Fauve would work well- or the Encre Rose or Rose Pastelle seem good. I wouldn't go into the mauves or purples, nothing bright. I was expecting a lot more gloss with this formula but it will be a perfect formula for summer. It does leave behind a nice stain and doesn't transfer to drinking glasses. I will purchase another shade.

I am in love with the Camel Croisiere- I have several tubes, one for my purse, makeup bag, home etc. It is the perfect color in that it is natural, a coral/ red/ nude combination I have never been able to find until now! If you put on more than one coat it intensifies so you can vary how much color you want.

A regular lip gloss tends to fade away during the day, a glossy stain lasts a lot longer on your lips, it doesn't transfer a lot while drinking from a glass or cup and barely needs a touch up.

Although I love this product, it doesn't stay on as long as I had hoped. It does transfer quite a bit, so be careful when touching your lips and transferring it to clothes or other areas.

Hi Logie, I actually love this product. I use a lipliner, put concealer on my lips and then apply the Vernis. A coat of clear gloss might help as well.

Love the stain, but mine is not in the violet color, the one I have is more in the natural lip color. If she tries it you can always alter the color by putting another lip liner color under it. Hope this helps.

I am really pleased with the color and the stain. I took a chance and ordered it on line but I couldn't be happier with it. I use a lip pencil before I apply it and make sure I check that I don't have the "lipstick on the teeth" issue". It's all worth the extra bit of effort because the color is so beautiful.

I find using some aquaphor or vaseline helps remove it in the evening. I have never had to take it out of clothes because it does not smudge so I am not sure how to do that.

the color in the bottle is true to the sample swatches BUT how it looks on your lips depends on your natural lip shade because it's a sheer glossy stain so it will be darker if you have a darker skin tone. but the good news is that you can layer on multiple times to create a more solid look like lipstick then the color will be closer to the swatches
