Depending on the pigmentation on your lips this lipstick can come off either very pigmented or pretty sheer. I have pigmented lips and while the color does show up its not as bright as in the tube. Another thing is because the formulation of the Rouge Pur Couture Lustres is not like the Rouge Volupte no matter what you won't get the opaqueness that the latter lipstick offers. Hope this helps! Hi, I recently bought this shade of lipstick. I love it. I do not find it too strong a color. It has a nice shimmer to it, and stays on quite long. It goes on light, creamy but not in a heavy cover kind of way.
I wear it both for day and casual evening. To give you a frame of reference, I am blonde with a light complexion.

The Rouge Pur Golden Luster Lipstick is sheer but with nice color saturation.It is not too pigmented but very nice and hydrating.I wear it often and like it very much.I am thinking about ordering another color.

It is fairly sheer/metallic but really pretty. I bought 106 and it's too sheer to wear on it's own although it is a pretty light color. The fushsia may be a little better because it's a brighter color.

I was actually disappointed with this lipstick, and I love YSL products. While it's very sheer on the lips, it feels somewhat goopy. Also, I had hoped for more of a golden undertone. It's not there.

It is golden - there are tiny micro pigments throughout that glimmer on your lips once applied. For me, the ocre rose shade was more pink and less neutral than I thought it appeared in the picture. I have extremely pale skin, so I ended up returning it. It should be said however that all of us have variations in our computer monitors so we all see a slightly different image on the site... I hope this helps.

I returned the lipstick so I, actually, never tried it. And, I did not try it because it looked to be more of a cool color than a warm color(more blue than orange) which doesn't look good on me.
