My mother has worn this my whole life, I bought her this set two weeks ago and it is the same Opium eau de toilette she has worn for nearly 30 years. There IS a difference in concentration (strength) between the Parfum, Eau de Parfum, and Eau de Toilette, with the latter being the least concentrated and therefore least expensive, so you may have unwittingly chosen a less concentrated scent than your usual formula. The formula for each hasn't changed since it came out.

My favorite of all & have used since age 16. I haven't even tried the new scent formula & didn't know it had changed. I love it, missed it & very pleased that I purchased..However, now I have a question: if opium was re-formulated when & what was the change? Also, would like to request samples of any & all avail (female fragrances)? Thx

I am unable to answer the question because I did not get the merchandise. When I tried to reorder it I was told it is out if stock. My wife loves this product, so I hope I can find it with a local store.
