Jennifer L: I do not use a liquid foundation, just a compact powder and after trying many brands, I have found this one to be the best. It has great lasting coverage and makes my skin look so smooth. I heard through my local Neiman Marcus store that ya'll were discontinuing this item. Please, Please do not do this as there is nothing comparable out there.

Kristina W: I've used the pressed powder for a few years now. I use it daily by itself and feel that it gives me a nice, light-weight feeling coverage with the added benefit of SPF. However, when I want more coverage, I use it with the YSL liquid foundation. In my experience, it has worked well both on its own, and with a liquid foundation. It does it's job well in both circumstances and never feels heavy.

susan c: It can be used both ways! When I want a compete makeup job, I apply liquid foundation and the matt touche over the foundation. When I am in a hurry and don't want to bother with full makeup, I used it over my moisturized skin. Looks great either way! Mar 12, 2012

Deb D: I have been using this lovely powder for about a year and have never had any unpleasant skin reactions what so ever. Just a beautiful luminous finish to my skin. The powder does not claim to be 'non comodogenic' but I have not ever experienced a problem and I use it every day. If you have very oily skin, it may not be the best choice for you but normal to dry and combination skin types would find this very refined powder delightful to wear. Feb 23, 2012

dina r: I would not use this wet. This makeup goes on great. You can double the coverage by reapplying. If you think you may need more coverage than you should use a liquid foundation, letting it dry completely and then applying this powder. I still fell it would be too much makeup. This makeup works best alone and used as directed. With the sponge or with a proper full foundation brush. Apr 12, 2013

dina r: I really think ysl has the best match of any makeup you can buy. You'll have to go to a store and get a match. I have tan color and this is the tone that I use. I also have olive undertones. You really will love this makeup once you get your perfect match! Sep 10, 2012

paige b: Powder foundation is better for people with oily skin. If you skin is dry, you are better off with liquid foundation as the powder one will only emphasize the skin's dryness.

As for the shade selection, others will be able to help you better if you could describe your skin color and undertone. Shades #02, #04, #06, and #09 are good for those with yellow undertone. I use this foundation in #04 regularly during the summer when I am tanned to NC30 (MAC equivalence to medium skin color with yellow undertone). During the winter, I am NC25 (light-medium with yellow undertone) and I found #02 too light for me. Therefore I have to use another brand's powder foundation. May 10, 2012
