Yes, always apply primer BEFORE your foundation and/or concealer.
The purpose of the primer is to fill-in the skin's pores; this makes for a smoother base (your skin) and a more even application of any foundation and/or concealer you may use.
Using a primer also ensures that your make-up will not settle in to any fine lines, wrinkles or enlarged pores, which, as we all know, can make your foundation appear cakey and blotchy.

I use this right after i wash and moisturize my face and before i apply all my makeup. Im not sure if YSL has a setting power but Makeup Forever has a really good translucent setting powder that i use right after this to keep my skin matte

Hi -- I se this before applying makeup, and after using skin care or moisturizer. I am not sure about set up powder as I haven't tried that. What's nice about the Matt Touch is it is light and natural in appearance. I love it.

Yes, absolutely. I resisted trying it for a while because I liked the radiant touch primer, but I sincerely like this better. It does help the makeup last a long time and certainly helps it go on well. I also found it less necessary to use powder foundation once using this. Perhaps both because it helps how long the foundation alone lasts and also makes it a bit less dewy to start with (though equally lovely).

I have what I consider very oily skin and this is the only product that both matifies my skin and doesn't cause me to break out.
For me, it lasts all day. I do occasionally blot my face with a blotting paper but mostly in the summer.
So yes, it's good for oily skin and yes it lasts.

I have been using this product since April and I think it's great. I always use it before I put on my foundayion for a smooth finish; it hasen't let me down yet... Hope that helps
