I find that the best way is to mix it with your foundation - it gives you an overall glow. If you prefer not to do that, then applying it on top of your foundation is definitely a way to go. Hope that helps!

I apply at the same time as I apply foundation. Just sparingly dot it on cheekbones, nose, eyelids, forehead and smooth on with application of foundation. often i use it without foundation.

No, it doesn't glitter or shimmer. I would describe it more as a kind of sheen.
the color is a pale mauve and what it does is add some light to your face.

I am 62 and have fair skin. You cannot see tempting gold color as a blush with or without foundation on my cheeks. Its too transparent.
